Keep The Peace

My very best wishes and prayers go with the Irish peacekeepers, those who have arrived and those shortly to go, who will take over the security of 140 square miles of south Lebenon, including the border with Israel.

It is no easy task, patrolling the region, working within the multi-national UNIFIL, and keeping a close eye on the Israelis, who have no fondness for Peacekeepers. 47 Irish soldiers did not return alive from our previous deployments there.

NFB will keep a close eye on developments within the country, as our armed forces go back to doing what they do best: keeping the peace.
