The Last Two In Limerick

Two last Independents have confirmed to be running in Limerick City.

Dennis Riordan, an LIT lecturer, is a long running, and long failing, candidate. Eight elections over the last few decades, eight low finishes. This high court appearance a few years ago is the only scrap of news I can find on the guy. Oh, and this earlier appearance before the Supreme Court. A lot of court cases, stemming from the appointment of a guy called Hugh O’Flaharty to the European Investment Bank in 2000. Numerous cases taken to stop referendums and the like. All seems a little mental.

Matt Larkin is the guy who was involved in a physical altercation with O’Dea a while back, and thinks that makes him suitable to be a TD. An anti-cronisym campaign with no posters or advertising. Best of luck with that.

Both of these guys will be neck and neck with Conor O’Donoghue in the race to finish eleventh.
